Tel Shiloh תל שילה

New finds at Tel Shiloh:
ממצאים חדשים בתל שילה

התמונה היא של משקוף מהתקופה הרומית-ביזנטית שנמצא בשימוש משני בבית מהתקופה הערבית הקדומה

The two distinctive stones are from a Roman-Byzantine doorpost in secondary use in a structure from the Early Arab period.

Without some minimal description of what is photographed, these really do not contribute anything to the viewer.

Yoel, if I knew what this was, I would have written. As soon as I found out if those two unique stones are in situ or taken from somewhere else by Romans and what they were and where they came from, you'll be among the first to know.

History--what else is there, I'm really into it. Unfortunely here in the states to really go back to antiquity, we must go back to the native americans. Living here in the southweatern part of the state of Mississippi I have managed to accumulate many artifacts of days gone by. These are stone tools and weapons dating from the paleolithic period (12,000-10,000 B.P.) up through the Woodlands period and Mississippian period.

I have another blog, still under construction at http://pennypatch1.wordpress.com It has a few personal photos now, but will have some artifacts in the future. The Cabin is in the old Natchez District of southwestern Mississippi.
